Mr Daniel A. Weisz

President – Israel

1. What inspired you to choose podiatry?

At the age of 14 I had an ingrown toe nail. I was so well treated by my Podiatrist I just walked out and said :”this is what I want to be- a Podiatrist”. SO I did.

2. What ambitions and goals do you have as a member of the FIP Board?

My goal is to elevate podiatry as an essential medical profession, strengthen our global voice, and empower colleagues worldwide. We’ve proven our value, and now we continue advancing care, advocating for our patients, and keeping the world on its feet.

3. What motivates you in your work?

I’m driven by shaping better legislation, recruiting the future leaders of podiatry, and embracing technology and innovation to transform care. These goals keep me focused on building a stronger, smarter, modern profession.

4. What is a hidden talent (or surprising skill) you have?

I love cooking and even competed on MasterChef—though my kids and grandkids still think I’m just the family chef-on-call
